MFL FAQ
- How many drawings are there in the film?
- 6017. There are 365 daily drawings plus 12 monthly titles, so 377 "key" drawings. Then there are 15 "tween" drawings in-between each of the keys.
- How long did the film take to make?
- About two years. I made the first daily drawing on January 1, 2007. But it wasn't until around October of that year that I began doing the morphs in-between. Soon after than I settled into a schedule of about one morph per day.
- How long did it take to do each morph?
- Anywhere from a couple hours to all day long, depending on the complexity of the two drawings being connected.
- What's with all the naked people?
- As an artist I am involved with several life drawing groups that meet on a weekly basis. If you don't know, life drawing is practice for artists, the human models are usually nude. When I was doing the daily drawings I did many of them in the life drawing group.
- What is your next project?
-
"Salmon Deadly Sins". A four minute film on salmon colored index cards. Sockeye salmon, bizarre anagrams, and the seven deadly sins.
